There was a risk of shortening the service life of the electrical components (especially the capacitors) on the control panel’s outer control box, due to direct sunlight and heat accumulation inside. The heat from the sun caused various problems, especially at the control panels installed more than 10 years ago. The aim of the application of Adgreencoat® was to extend the life of the electrical components inside the control panels, reduce repair costs and the frequency of problems occurring, by lowering the surface temperature.
RESULTS OF INDOOR TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
The control panel treated with Adgreencoat® (1B; on the right) was on average 2°C cooler than the untreated control panel (2B; on the left).
The maximum temperature difference was 3.5°C.
By applying Adgreencoat® the temperature rise in the control panels can be reduced, so that the life span of the electrical components in the control panels can be extended and the repair costs and frequency of problems occurring can be reduced.
